One Week Prostate: Evaluation, treatment, and follow-up in a single stay in Paris
Coming from abroad for a prostate problem too often means making multiple trips back and forth: a consultation, then imaging weeks later, then a medical opinion, and finally the procedure. The One Week Prostate program combines these steps into a single visit, whenever the medical situation allows.
Who is the One Week Prostate program for?
This pathway has been designed for patients who reside outside of France and wish to access the center's expertise without spending several weeks there. By coordinating each step in advance, our team reduces the time between consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
The goal
Condense into a single trip what usually takes several months, without ever sacrificing the quality of the medical evaluation.
It is aimed in particular at men facing a prostate adenoma becoming bothersome, to a PSA increase requiring an evaluation, or to a situation where several therapeutic options deserve to be compared before deciding.
Before your arrival: it all starts remotely
Your journey begins well before your arrival in Paris. Our team analyzes your medical file, imaging exams, biological results, and previous reports to understand your situation and determine the most appropriate strategy.
This preparation allows for four things:
- Assess your eligibility to the planned treatment
- Identify missing examinations, and only those
- Coordinate consultations with the relevant specialists
- Build your calendar even before your departure
In other words, nothing is improvised on site. It is this preparatory work that makes it possible to concentrate the steps into one week.
Have your application reviewed remotely
Submit your test results: urology report, ultrasound, MRI, blood test for PSA. We are responding to you with a preliminary evaluation and the list of what is missing.
The complete route in one week
Depending on your situation and the chosen strategy, your stay may include the following five steps.
- Specialized consultationYou meet the physician in charge of your care. They review your file, examine you, and define the therapeutic strategy with you.
- Imaging and diagnostic workupThe necessary complementary examinations are performed: prostate MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, biological assessment, or functional evaluation depending on the case.
- Confirmation of diagnosisOnce the results are available, the medical team analyzes them, confirms the diagnosis, and finalizes the treatment plan.
- TreatmentWhen indicated, the procedure is performed during the same hospital stay. It is most often a minimally invasive image-guided treatment, such as'prostatic artery embolization.
- Follow-up consultationBefore your follow-up, a check-up is organized to verify that things are progressing normally and to answer your final questions.
Typical weekly schedule
The actual schedule varies depending on each medical situation. However, here is the usual structure.

Let's be clear on one point of honesty: certain analyses, notably anatomopathological ones, as well as certain multidisciplinary decisions, naturally require more time. One Week designates a focused organization, not hurried medicine. When your situation does not allow you to consolidate everything, we will let you know before your departure.
Supported situations
The program covers all prostate pathologies treated at the center. Each file is studied individually to determine if a one-week pathway is suitable.
- Prostate adenoma — urinary disorders, enlarged prostate, medical treatment has become insufficient. Discussion between embolization, Rezum, Urolift and surgical techniques.
- Elevated PSA or suspicion of cancer - rapid assessment with multiparametric MRI and, when indicated, targeted biopsies.
- Chronic prostatitis - evaluation of persistent pelvic pain after failure of conventional treatments.
- Second opinion — before a procedure proposed elsewhere, or after embolization failure in another center.

The essential steps of your care take place during a single stay in Paris. For a patient coming from another continent, this represents a considerable difference, both financially and personally.
Access multidisciplinary expertise
Interventional radiologists and interventional urologists work together on your case. The technical choice is therefore made among several genuinely available options, rather than solely based on the technique practiced by the person you are speaking with.

The center, in Paris
The Prostate Center is located at the Blomet Clinic, in the 15th arrondissemente Paris district. It brings together interventional radiologists specializing in prostate care and a complete technical platform: ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, and advanced interventional imaging.
More than 3,000 patients have been treated there by prostatic embolization. The team is simultaneously conducting published research activities, notably in European Radiology and the Journal of Personalized Medicine, dedicated to improving technique.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my application is eligible?
Send your test results before any travel. Our team analyzes them and tells you whether a one-week treatment plan is realistic in your case, which tests are missing, and what therapeutic options can be considered. This evaluation is done remotely, without you having to travel.
Are my tests done abroad usable?
Often, yes. If they are recent and of sufficient quality, they are integrated into the process after review. We do not redo what has already been done correctly: the week is then dedicated to the missing examinations and the decision.
Is the treatment always carried out during the stay?
When indicated and medical conditions permit, yes. But treatment is never decided in advance: it stems from the evaluation. Some patients leave with simple monitoring, and that is a perfectly legitimate outcome.
In which languages can I be monitored?
Consultations can be conducted in French, English, Spanish, and Arabic.
And the follow-up after my return?
A follow-up consultation is scheduled before your departure. Remote monitoring is then provided, in coordination with your regular doctor, to whom the medical reports are sent.
